Fred Stark is recognized as one of the top recording studio singers in New York specializing in pop, big band, adult-contemporary, and whistling. Fred has performed vocally on hundreds of national TV and radio commercials for advertisers such as Coca-Cola, GE, McDonald’s, Pillsbury, Subway, and Wind Song Perfume. His whistling talents have been heard recently on Dairy Queen, Gillette, and Charles Schwab TV spots. Fred has also co-written many successful jingles, including “I Can’t Seem to Forget You” for Wind Song Perfume, “Stack it Up” for Chinet paper plates and “Millennium Millions” for New York Lottery.
As a recording artist, his pop album, BIG STAR (Stark & McBrien) had several charted singles including “Isn’t It Lonely Together” for RCA Records.
He was also a featured singer on three number-one country records with Earl Thomas Conley. In addition, he sang backup vocals for artists including Neil Sedaka (Produced by Beatles producer, George Martin), Barry Manilow, Jane Olivor and Meco.
Fred made his musical theater debut as composer of RHYTHM RANCH, a spoof of singing-western movies at Paper Mill Playhouse. He has also composed the score for a new musical, ROUTE 66, that had it’s World Premiere at The Depot Theater and a seven week run at Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse.
His newly released CD, Rosslyn Avenue includes eleven original songs and one cover that express his passion and love of life.
